One afternoon, as a hospital worker is travelling home, a catastrophic event happens, resulting in the loss of power, both for transport and the electricity grid. His family, caught out in different places around the country, are seeing it firsthand. The struggle to get home becomes one of survival. His wife and three grown-up children must stay one step ahead in a country that has changed maybe forever. As the golden moments come and go, it was only a matter of time before someone was taken. Would that someone be you, would you survive a golden moment?

Autorenporträt
Bic Parker is a Sydney boy who discovered the delights of Canberra, the Bush Capital, and fell in love with it. Along with his lovely Scottish wife and two children, he made Canberra his home. His work at a local hospital has been both rewarding and satisfying. With his wife's help, he has found writing to be a new blessing in his life. His first novel is a precursor to some equally rewarding children's stories, which he hopes to publish in the not-too-distant future.
