Rev. Dr. Sakari Häkkinen is the dean of the Lutheran Diocese of Kuopio, Finland. He has studied Gospel texts in Tanzania and Palestine, in contexts where people live in ultimate poverty or suffer under oppression that causes poverty. He offers fresh views to the Gospel texts as understood and commented by people living in poverty.
