In the final volume of her acclaimed trilogy Through the Eyes of Mary Magdalene, Estelle Isaacson intimates a connection between Magdalene and Repanse de Schoye, who lived nine centuries later in the Grail family. Repanse was a sister to Anfortas, the Grail King wounded by the Sky-Fallen Lance, which according to tradition is the same that pierced the side of Christ Jesus. The Chalice used to collect the blood flowing from that wound is said to have been the Holy Grail, which was later in Repanse's keeping-her role being tht of Grail Bearer at Montsalvat. As the Magdalene visions ended, a new cycle began on Repanse and the Grail Family, and the intimation mentioned became a visioned certainty that the two women were incarnations of the same eternal individuality, of whom then the present volume constitutes a continuing "spiritual biography." Central to the work is an urgent call to take up again the quest for the Holy Grail in the changed and challenging conditions of our time. Opening messages and a prologue on the City of the Grail and the Grail Bearers are followed in Part One with the story of the young Repanse de Schoye. Part Two portrays the relationship between Repanse and her brother Anfortas, meant to be Bearers of Divine Love, but failing in this task through Anfortas's fall to the wiles of Dengresse, as described in Part Four. As an intermezzo, Part Three tells the story of the Knight Who Buries and Unburies His Armor, a teaching on the Divine Father and destiny. Part Four continues with accounts of Parsifal's first visit to the Grail Castle, his meeting with Anfortas at Emerald Lake, and the story of the Knight With Downcast Eyes. Part Five plays out between Parsifal's first and second visits to the Grail Castle, providing a fascinating look at his relationship with Kyot, cousin of Charlemagne. We hear also the story of the Gardener Knight. In Part Six, Parsifal returns to the Grail Castle, where Anfortas is finally healed, and his half-brother Fierefiz marries Repanse. The book ends with messages on the Disciples of the Night and the Bleeding Lance, the Power of Utter Powerlessness, and the epoch of Philadelphia. "We are all part of the Grail stream. We have each a role in the Grail story that is now revealing itself further, bringing to light characters as yet unknown, or lost to memory, as well as their stories-stories that may echo in our depths and illuminate our destinies."
