DS Smith has loved children's books ever since he was a child. As he got taller and had kids of his own a desire to write for children was born. The author's primary purpose in writing The Jubilations of Dancia series is to develop lifelong readers. Using the geography of the Rocky Mountains as a springboard for the landscape of Dancia and the wild wisdom of his own children for inspiration, the author hopes to tantalize young readers with the pleasures of the written word and the limitless realms of the imagination. DS Smith graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in literature.
