Il est titulaire d'un doctorat en histoire de l'université fédérale de Minas Gerais et a effectué un stage à l'université Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle. Il est titulaire d'une maîtrise en histoire de l'UFG et d'un diplôme en histoire de l'UEMA, Imperatriz. Il est professeur associé au cours d'histoire de l'université d'État de la région du Tocantins au Maranhão - UEMASUL, Imperatriz, dans le domaine de l'histoire de l'Amérique.
