John Fabiano earned four degrees in art and theatre and was a graduate fellow at the prestigious Hilberry Repertory Theatre at Wayne State University. Prior to transitioning to the corporate world, he successfully developed audiences for several theatres, a ballet company, a cabaret, and other performing arts venues. These experiences may neatly explain how he became a successful professional in the corporate realm. He has also been a certified special education teacher and has sold a wide range of products, from vacuum cleaners to Volvos to violets and more. However, his primary career was in capital sales, managing distributor personnel selling large-scale, six-figure communications systems across every state and Puerto Rico. Typically traveling more than 150 nights a year, he has visited most major American cities and logged over 5 million miles on Delta Airlines alone. His immediate realization was that before he could expect people to sell the products he represented, he had to teach them how to sell first. To that end, he conducted numerous sales training seminars over the years and delivered hundreds of "C" level presentations to many Fortune 500 companies. In addition to being the author of "The Tao of Sales," he has been published in newspapers, company newsletters, and other publications. He is also an artist who, for the past decade, has crafted Florida saltwater fishes and other ocean creatures from wood. His work has been showcased at several galleries in Florida and has been sold internationally. He acknowledges that thanks to the numerous opportunities afforded to him, he has had many "adventures" witnessing the start of the Iditarod, seeing whales breach in various oceans, observing volcanoes erupt, encountering a school of over 30,000 dolphins (also known as "The Monterey Pod") in a feeding frenzy, witnessing the Northern Lights, experiencing sunset on the Equator, swimming with and lassoing sharks in Bora Bora, sailing his boat frequently to the Abacos and points in between, and many other travels and adventures. Sales can indeed be a rewarding career. John resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife Beth, who herself is a top performer in her industry. A favorite quote of his is: "Buy the ticket, take the ride." - Hunter S. Thompson
