The world of work has undergone unprecedented upheavals over the last fifty years: employment has become more feminized, tertiary and urbanized; it has also become more skilled. The constraints associated with work have gradually changed in nature with the increase in flexibility: less physical fatigue but more stress at work. Above all, employment appears to be more "fragmented": the reign of the large industrial company, marked by a Fordist or Taylorian type of work organisation, with mainly permanent, full-time employment contracts, is now outdated. We are witnessing a crumbling of situations, whether in terms of status and situations of activity between employment and unemployment, working hours and rhythms, modes of remuneration or even productive units.
