From the author: I hope this book helps fight bullying, in its own, small way. I hope The Great Cricket Picket entertains children while teaching them to respect others & to be considerate. It is my hope that children exposed to this book grow up to make the world a better place, in some small part due to a story their parents read to them about bugs. I want that kind of future for my children. I want to be a part of the solution, because "any is too many." This book is dedicated, with permission, to the memory of Steven Urry.
