Kathy started writing poetry and short stories as a teenager because her mother, Velva, use to say "Books are your friends". For Father's Day when she was in her early 20's, she compiled all of her favorite memories of her fun loving story telling dad, John, and came up with a poem of the Great Flying Ranger. Many years later, the typewriter typed, rice paper page, surfaced and she decided it was time to make it into story form. This book was put together as a true labor of love for her daughter, Kelly, and for all other family members. Kathy was lucky and found the brilliant, talented and easy going illustrator, Marla Pedersen, thru a hometown website and beautiful business friendship evolved. " We just work together and it was meant to be! The rest is history." Hopefully we can collaborate together on another adventure. The Great Flying Ranger is for everyone who loves a fun little story.
