Autorenporträt
Joe Robles Jr, an Air Force veteran, is here to shake up the industry. Growing up without any children's book characters to relate to; he decided to create his own children's series after getting his bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of North Texas. Joe created the Pablo P.I. Series with the intent to create more diversity in children's literature. After getting an agent and finding little success in the industry, Robles decided to go to law school. Upon graduating from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2018, Joe founded Benny's Books, a tax exempt nonprofit organization aimed at combating illiteracy and promoting diversity in children's fiction. Joe's goal is simple: make diversity matter. Joe ditched his agent and left him with these parting words "Thank you for your time, but I need someone who's willing to change the game." The Great Pablo P.I. is his first major project aimed at creating major characters of Hispanic descent in order to create more diversity and cultural awareness in the United States. Partial proceeds from this series will be donated to Benny's Books, a nonprofit tax-exempt corporation Joe established right after law school.
