Autorenporträt
Courtney Shields is an upcoming Chicago Native Author who has had the honor and enjoyment of being an Educator for fifteen years to students in Pre- Kindergarten to Eighth Grade school levels in the Chicago and metropolitan public schools. She earned a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from Marquette University, incorporating a year of International Studies abroad with St. Claires Oxford University in Oxford, England. In addition to this education, she gained well- rounded experience with travels abroad elsewhere to six other European countries, including Ireland, two African countries, and two Latin countries. In the summer of 2004, she completed four open- ocean water dives with PADI Scuba Systems along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica and ever since, has been fascinated by sharks and other ocean life. She has now decided to combine this subject matter with her passion for celebrating her Irish American Heritage and have it presented in a fiction fantasy story for children and their families of all ethnicities to identify with, to be enlightened, and entertained as readers!
