This is a collection of short stories and poems about World War II aircraft, their spirits, and the humans and others who live with them and love them. They are based on my own, perhaps odd ideas regarding the spirits of machines. While these are works of fiction, they are based on the real history of the Air War over Europe during the Second World War. This Third Edition has been revised and expanded.

Autorenporträt
Since John was a small child, he had a very clear insight that "Things were not as they appeared". (he has that tattooed on his forearm in Gaelic) He related strongly to science fiction that regarded Life as an Illusion. John claims to have had an inner voice directing him to "Pull back the curtain" for over 25 years. He has been trying to avoid the feeling of being pushed to share what he has realized for several years now as he feels he has moved beyond the seeking stage to the teaching stage. John is a family man with normal interests and pursuits. He lives in Connecticut with his wife. John has two adult daughters and a granddaughter. He loves the outdoors and motorcycles. The freedom of being unrestricted excites him.
