Born, August 1941 in Bedwas, a small S.Wales mining village. Educated at Grammar schools in Surrey 1951-56 and S Wales, 1956-62. BSc Aberystwyth, 1964. Teaching and educational administration in Kenya, 1965-84. M.Ed, Sussex University, 1985. Educational administration in Anguilla, BWI, 1986-88. Teaching, S Wales, 1990-2006. Married Gillian, August 1964. 3 grown-up children, 6 grandchildren. Represented Bedwas RFC, Aberystwyth University, Kenya and East Africa at Rugby Football, 1958 - 1972. 6 novels published in Kenya, UK and USA, 1985-90. Prize winning short stories published and broadcast, and several of the poems included here published in local poetry magazines.
