That is until the clock struck 9:11AM EDT when Air Force One lost all satellite links overhead along with air to ground communications as well. Still very early in the morning on the west coast, they could also see that the electrical grid had been taken out below. What they did not know was that the same thing was happening all across Europe, there had just been ground attacks in Israel and Afghanistan, and the worst news was yet to come.
