Meet Phil Stokes. He's a journalist; sort of. He's the most respected reporter at The American Snitch-a gossip rag, junk-food news tabloid. As far as he's concerned, that makes him the biggest, fattest catfish in a steaming cesspool. He'd strived to be a real journalist, but years ago, his dreams and family were yanked away by a toxic twist of fate. Now he drinks himself through life and smokes a quarter of his income. But between reporting Bigfoot sightings and UFO abductions, he reports real news if it happens to be sensational enough to grab the attention of people in supermarket checkout lines. Then one day, he reports something that attracts the attention and rage of a group who threatens to derail what remains of his life and career. In desperation, his boss sends him on an obligatory vacation. Lawyers make work difficult, and private investigators track his every move. To make matters worse, his body finally reels from the many years of abuse he'd put it through. Being true to his craft, he figured he'd go after another story. He found one. But while reporting miracles was in his day-to-day life, he'd never found a real one until he stumbled upon a story that forced him to fight for his life. He was determined to find the truth and, along the way, found redemption.
