Ten-year-old Victoria was accustomed to making straight As on her report cards. Her favorite teacher, Ms. Logan, assigned her class a fun project. They were to write about a person, outside a family member, that had most influenced their life. An easy A, right? Wrong! Victoria was surprised and heartbroken when she received a grade lower than an F--a zero. When she politely asked her teacher, Ms. Logan, what she had done wrong to receive a zero. Ms. Logan said, "You did not follow the instructions as given. The assignment was to write about a real person, and Jesus is not a real person." Ms. Logan offered Victoria an opportunity to rewrite her paper about someone other than Jesus for a letter grade no higher than a B. Hurt and confusion lead Victoria into her mother's loving arms. It is in her mother's arms she learns about her great aunt Josie and a faith challenge that coincides Victoria's life with her mother's beloved aunt.
