This "running away to join the circus" proves duanting, difficult, surprising and rewarding, but not as financially successful as they might have liked. However, the success in terms of their personal relationship, as well as a myriad of relationships formed with local people and others from around the world, more than compensate for any disappointment from their lack of business acumen. What may have been a loss on one hand, results in a win in the long run.

Wayne Berry has tackled a number of jobs and worn many hats. Among them are singing professionally and, after extensive training in the military, working in the medical profession, both in hospital critical care settings and private care. He worked on the initial medical coding project as well as approving medical insurance coverage. He has owned his own plant/gift shop, doing at home Plant Parties. He has done landscaping/plant maintenance for both individuals and businesses. He tried his hand at running a bed and breakfast. Now retired and living in Dallas, writing has become his latest hat.
