Michael Gumley is a musical educator, author and entrepreneur from Melbourne, Australia. He has always had a passion for teaching others and has combined that passion with his love of music and all things guitar. After being frustrated with a lack of any effective modern guitar method books, he decided to write his own books. The result was Guitar Ninjas: a modern approach to guitar that combines learning psychology, sports science, martial arts and modern gamification into the ultimate method for learning guitar! Michael has used his method effectively to develop monster guitar players at his studio Melbourne Guitar Academy and now trains other teachers to achieve the same success with their own students through his Guitar Ninjas Program.While Guitar Ninjas was a great gimmick, many adult learners found the karate style level-ups and ninja theme too childish. With this in mind, Michael has rewritten his curriculum into a new and improved method with the adult learner in mind.
