Autorenporträt
Paul is a Colorado native, a father of three kids, and a husband to his high-school sweetheart, Ashley. As a graduate from Metro State University in Denver, Paul has applied his education in IT consulting as his full-time profession. Paul's favorite pastime activity is traveling with his family. The Cooke family enjoys quick trips to the Rocky Mountains where they like to hike, sled, and partake in water-activities on the lake. In 2020 as the world was challenged with the COVID pandemic, The Cooke Family decided to get a "quarantine puppy." After doing much research, the family decided on a toy sized AussieDoodle that was bread by a family friend. Kason, 7 at the time, had been asking for a dog for quite some time. He couldn't wait to become a dog trainer and teach his dog several tricks. Myla was 4 years old and Nolan was 2 years old when Gus became part of the family. Bedtime stories have always been a favorite part of the Cooke's bedtime routine. Each night the kids would often ask Paul and Ashley to read them multiple children's picture books. Shortly after Gus became part of the family, Paul thought it would be really special to create a children's picture book about Gus, the things he likes to do, and the skills he is learning through training. The Gus Gus Book is Paul's inaugural children's book which he hopes will entertain kids and dog lovers while inspiring to teach children to participate in their own dogs training.
