Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Ms. Harkrider has written ten books to date in both the fiction and educational genre. She was featured in the Kentucky Book Festival and has received much professional acclaim for her writing. She has taught high school Spanish and English in three states for both public and private schools. Ms. Harkrider developed elementary school Spanish programs for two private schools and created a ten-week program for Carolina's Medical System in Spanish, which she taught for eight years at night while living in Charlotte. She is a professional actor and has appeared in professional theater, TV as the Kid's Club Host for a local PBS station as well as acting in commercials for national brands. She is married with two wonderful children, who are also married, and she has seven incredible grandchildren.An experienced presenter at educational forums, Ms. Harkrider continues to speak to groups and read to classes.
