Autorenporträt
From a very young age, Michelle Page Deleau knew that she wanted to be a mom and a teacher. She spent hours lining up her dolls to play school, and adored looking after children. Writing was not her favorite thing to do because she always struggled to come up with the perfect idea. After spending countless hours with children, and now with children of her own, Michelle has found joy in creative writing and reminds herself daily that she doesn't have to wait for things to be perfect before getting started. Michelle has two bachelor's degrees and a masters degree in Educational Leadership. She spent over a decade serving her school community as an elementary associate principal. In 2019, she returned to full-time teaching and loves learning every day from her grade 2 students. She is passionate about forging strong relationships and loves seeing her students develop their character and thrive as learners. Michelle and her husband Derek live together with their four children in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but will always refer to Manitoba as home.
