Born in 1984, Danny Gunn grew up in Melbourne, Victoria before moving to North-west Tasmania in 2016 with his partner and daughter. Now living on the beach, his family has grown to include two cats and the occasional penguin. He played representative football and cricket as a junior and loved reading Goosebumps and Spooksville (and still does). He is the author of the Tasmanian-based Van Diemen's Valley middle grade horror series and The Pirate's Curse, the first in the Ethan Jackson Adventures. When not writing, Danny enjoys hiking, kayaking, scuba diving, and spending time with his family.
