Autorenporträt
Jan Hogan began her writing career as a freelance magazine writer. Ten years later, on Christmas Eve, she received a phone call. The Las Vegas Review-Journal, the largest newspaper in Nevada, had seen her work and offered her a job. Since then, Hogan has added thousands of articles to her resume but there was a desire to do more. She began writing fiction in her spare time. The first book was "Coffee, Tea or ... Murder?" Sue Grafton, author of the alphabet murder series, graciously read over the first draft, made suggestions and declared the second draft ready for competition. It went on to take Honorable Mention in Writer's Digest annual contest, chosen from more than 13,200 entries. Since then, Hogan expanded that to a three-book series, plus written contemporary works such as "The Ghost and Nikki Haiffen" a sexy, modern update to the "Ghost and Mrs. Muir" movie of 1947 and the globe-trotting "Hiding In Plain Sight" which is set, in part, in Hogan's stomping grounds, Las Vegas.
