JOHN THOMAS TUFT grew up in Western Pennsylvania, whose towns, rivers and landscapes are the setting for The HEALER. He is a novelist, screenwriter, newspaper columnist John has also served as a Presbyterian minister, mental health counselor, hospital chaplain and sheep farmer. He is a father and grandfather who now makes his home in North Carolina.
