Health care in rural regions is often less well developed than in urban regions and faces constantly changing conditions. The associated challenges are manifold and require measures that ensure health care in rural and structurally weak regions. This book is dedicated to the development of a possible job description in the context of regional health care in rural regions based on the pioneering work of the Health Coordinator of the Healthy Region Vorau. Initially, there is a detailed introduction to the case study "Health Coordination in the Healthy Region Vorau". Based on this, already existing and comparable job descriptions for health coordinator on European and non-European level are collected, compared and contrasted by a systematic literature research. The resulting findings form the basis for the development of the job description "Health Coordinator:in".
