You can be a leader regardless of who you are or the job or position you hold. It doesn't take any extra schooling or a fancy title to make you a leader --it takes integrity and character --qualities that come from within. The Heart of A Leader is about leading people and how to become more effective at it. In the process of becoming a more effective leader, you'll probably find that you have become a better person. The Heart of A Leader is not about the tactics of managing. It is designed to give you the framework by which you will be in a better position to appreciate and take advantage of what those people you work with have to offer you as a leader and your organization in general. The Heart of A Leader is not long or hard to read. It is designed to have all the information in bite-size chunks of information that you can read and then implement. It is divided into four sections each of which becomes a layer on top of the previous section --You, Your Talk, Your People, and Business Realities. Each concept within those sections is made in one page and is designed to focus on those aspects that will help you become a better and more focused leader.

Autorenporträt
Jennifer Higgins has worked in "Corporate America" for over 20 years. In addition to that "work experience", she served 2 terms as president of a local soccer club. In that time, she has managed and led people both in the workplace and as volunteers and parents -- sometimes more effectively than others. She has learned from some very good and no-so-good leaders and from the school of hard-knocks about what works and what doesn't when you're trying to lead. She developed a lot of scar tissue from being a leader and being led and has been encouraged along the way to share some of what makes a leader. She lives in Florida with her husband and two children.
