Autorenporträt
Sue Carlton Swinson grew up in Collinsville, Mississippi, a small, rural community, where everyone knew everyone and each had a story to share. Exposure to storytelling was everywhere: home, family reunions, school, church and community. One of her favorite times was family reunions and listening to the "grown-ups" tell stories. Wherever people got together the storytelling began. Her love for stories, books and writing emerged from these wonderfully vivid tales. In addition to her beautiful children's stories, she has now drawn on some of the "get together" stories for her latest book The Hen House Chronicles. This entertaining collection is about growing up Southern and a good life "just a little left of center."
