Paul Sussman, geboren 1966, Studium der Geschichte in Cambridge, Mitbegründer der preisgekrönten Zeitschrift Big Issue. Seit 1991 lebt er als Journalist in London. Neben dem Schreiben gehört seine Leidenschaft der Archäologie. Er hat an zahlreichen Ausgrabungen in Ägypten teilgenommen und für seinen Roman im Tal der Könige recherchiert.
