My name is Melanie Kopal and I was born and raised in Austria. Growing up, me and my older sister always loved being creative, playing in a world that we made up in our heads, drawing and telling each other fictitious stories. She was the first one to start writing and I always marveled her for it. Without her, I probably would have never dared to start. When I finally did a few years ago, it was only to escape my own reality, a dark and lonely place at the time. Now I do it because I truely love it and see it as my future rather than my place to hide.
