Grateful she and her husband were able to observe the mannerisms of the Amish, up close, for more than a year, Peggy Garrett confesses she may now be ready to move on to another locale that might help them in there desire to achieve a simple lifestyle. When Bob is offered a position in an institution not considered as a promoter of simplicity, Peggy nevertheless encourages Bob to consider the offer because it will bring their family closer to the community where they met, and lived a simple life. With their two young daughters and their few household possessions packed into their station wagon, Bob and Peggy take off on yet another adventure into the unknown. Because of the fortune in cash available to them they are initially distracted by the benefits money can bring them, until they come face to face with the abject poverty some souls are forced to accept. Will this experience rekindle the objective that originally brought the two of them together?
