The demon takes terrible things and presents them under the guise of something good, something desirable, something attractive - That's called temptation. (You don't know how hot the pizza is until you eat it.) The menacing, rotting stone Victorian mansion held a secret: "...When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest but finds none. Then it says, 'I will return to the house from which I came.' And when it returns, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. It goes and brings with it seven other spirits eviler than itself, and they enter and dwell there. The body it seeks is no longer there...".(Matthew 12:43-45) - the evil; spirit stays.
