Katherine A. Meese, PhD, has over a decade of experience in global health, healthcare management and research and is a leader in the field of organizational behavior, well-being, and delivery models that enhance organizational learning. Dr. Meese is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and the Director of Research at the UAB Medicine Office of Wellness, where she oversees the development and evaluation of evidence-based interventions to improve the health and performance of healthcare workers. Quint Studer, MSE, a lifelong student of leadership, has a gift for translating complex strategies into doable behaviors that allow organizations to achieve success. Studer is the author of 12 books, including BusinessWeek bestseller Hardwiring Excellence, one of the most read healthcare leadership books ever written. In The Calling: Why Healthcare Is So Special, he aimed to help healthcare professionals keep their sense of passion and purpose high.
