The politics of governance in Nigeria in relation to conflict resolution points in the direction of political leaders benefiting in illegal arms sales and other forms of political gains from conflicts. To stem or control this development, new conflict resolution modalities oriented towards the masses need to be formulated, so as to appeal to the direct recipients of the scourge of conflicts and wars not to allow politicians to use them as cannon-fodders in the bids to feather their nests.

He teaches History and International Relations at the Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Nigeria.He obtained his first degree in Classical Studies and a postgraduate degree in History from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
