The monograph is devoted to determining the poetic specificity and artistic context of the embodiment of the image of woman in Arabic-language texts of pre-Islamic art works. The aim of the work is to reveal the feminine image as a classical one within the framework of the work of poets of the Jahiliyya era. In the presented monograph the following tasks were set and solved: 1) analysis of the scientific literature devoted to the problems of gender studies in modern literary studies; 2) consideration of the context and means of artistic representation in the Arab poetic genres "qasida" (poem) and "qita" (poem); 3) determination of the specifics of the standard representation of the feminine image in Arab pre-Islamic culture and literature. The monograph is addressed to a wide range of readers interested in Arabic literature at all stages of its historical development.
