(place + space + spiritual self) x art = SPLACE

It is in the everyday relationship, such as the
family, a microcosm of society, that life's ultimate
questions seem to be considered -Where am I? Why am I
here? Who am I?

An immigrant of thirty-five years, Peitsch follows
her own artistic journey finding place and space in
Australia, she terms SPLACE, questioning if it is
possible to belong to this land - building on the
geography of the church structure as a framework to
explore aspects of spirituality. Here, a search for
common global values, visions and spirituality may
effect much more than tolerance of the other . +++++ Following the success of Macmillan s recent
author-rich essayed monograph on Art and Soul
Flossie Peitsch , comes this companion book by the
artist herself. Rarely can one access such a generous
deconstruction of the creative process of art
building, written as it is with intimacy, passion and
precision. A good read awaits all who seek the
immortal now. Dr. Liz Westphal,
