This current study was conducted to provide a more in-depth assessment toward greater credibility of immersion programs within the academic community.

Fr. John Savard, S.J. currently teaches in the education department at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He was director of Campus Ministry at the University of San Francisco from 2000-2008, and has facilitated service-immersion programs for the last 15 years to Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Belize.
