Keeping in view of the principal objective to know the impact of microcredit on poor urban women entrepreneurs, this study collates necessary data and information through questionnaire based survey. The study reveals that the urban poor women have been able to run different types of enterprises and could increase their level of income. Even they succeeded in saving a portion of their income. This study also confirms that the borrowers have been able to increase the amount of their household assets and also improved their housing conditions. They can now afford to pay for electricity, gas and medical treatment. The increase in their income has enabled them to participate in household decision making process. All these in turn have led to enhancement of their status in the society. A sense of self- confidence for further improvement of life style has aleady been instilled within the mind set of the women slum dwellers.
