This study examines the role of Radio Benue in promoting maternal and child health in Makurdi, Nigeria. It investigates the effectiveness of radio health programs in raising awareness, influencing health behaviors, and addressing maternal and child health issues. Using a survey of Makurdi residents, the study evaluates how radio health broadcasts contribute to community health, particularly among young mothers and families. Findings indicate that Radio Benue's programs have a significant impact on health education by providing accessible, timely, and relevant information. The study underscores radio's potential as a powerful tool in public health promotion and highlights areas for improvement to enhance its effectiveness in rural and urban communities.
