This research investigated the impact of social media on the academic performance of Christian religious students (CRS) in Jos North local government area of Plateau State. The data collected in the study were analyzed using frequency count and means. From the findings of the study, it was discovered that social media has impacted negatively on CRS student's academic performance and this has led to an average performance of students in their academic performance. The study recommended that students create a balance between chatting and academics while parents, teachers, and students should be educated on the negative and positive use of social media. Authorities of the Ministry of Education through the schools should create more activities to engage the students.
