The status and situation of women in general in Bangladesh are not satisfactory. Among them the widow and abandoned women conditions are more vulnerable. Government has taken up some programs for rural widow and supportive abandoned women. But, urban widow and abandoned women are ignored in those supportive programs. Mahanam Bhattacharjee Mithun is a meritorious student of department of social work, Shahjalal university of science & technology. He has a very good academic background.
