The author of this book has tried to find out the scope of R & D in Indian Phamaceutical Industry, by finding out the impact of section 3(d) in Indian Patent law, and has analysed this section by keeping in mind the economic condition of Indian poor patients and India's domestic pharmaceutical Industry, and has advocated that the provision of not patentable subject matter about medicines mentioned in section 3(d) of Indian Patent Act ( as amended in 2005), 1977 should be flexible by taking inspiration from the recommendation given by Mashelkar Committee.The author wishes to clarify that this book is in no way exhaustive in nature and best efforts have been made to give a clear picture about the subject in discussion.
