This study propped up as a result of the repeated complaints from both electronic mails and customers complaints about the underperformance of Small and Medium-Size enterprises in South Africa. A case study was conducted on 40 selected SMEs in South in the automobile and beverage industry. The study primarily investigated the occurrence of poor performance as result of the negative effects on the businesses cash flow of these businesses and other secondary factors consequent from the global financial crisis. It also aimed at suggesting possible measures to improve cash flow and manage secondary factors possibly causing poor operational performance of this SMEs.
