The work addresses issues related to the concept of development in its various stages, where we sought to establish its historical evolution and the case study, on "The importance of the Marromeu sugar factory complex - Sofala province in Mozambique - in socio-economic development for the community", where the various trajectories of the sugar factory and the current situation of the district in social terms are presented.
