From a psychological point of view, it creates feelings of identity, memory, territory and spatial location and temporality. From a general perspective, the city and modern society are stagnating in a technological urban life, where human actions often become infertile, and what prevails are the egocentric actions of profitability. As a result, cities are becoming increasingly devoid of urban coherence: basic elements for visually reading landscapes. The situation of growing demographic expansion contributes to the multiplication of chaotic urban landscapes. Without intelligent planning, urban segregation is reflected mainly in the outskirts of cities and spaces of arrival and departure. Collecting memories of the city of Governador Valadares; reflecting on the changes in the expansion of the urban plan in relation to the city's entrances via its main highways: understanding the individual and public, conscious and unconscious images of residents, connecting the values of identity and territoriality.
