But he is greeted by an excited news editor who tells him to cover a possible vendetta attack against the unpopular council leader's shop. With his career saved by a rash act, Turner finds himself seduced into repeating criminal actions to create stories, as he goes after bullying council leader, Tom Ripley. Each manufactured story drags him further into criminality as he duels for survival with the Chairman Ripley until one of them faces paying the ultimate price.
