As a child through to his teenage years, the author was knock by his nickname, Grif. Later in life, like many parents, he came up with children's stories, but this is the first of them to be committed to paper. He believes children's stories should be able to capture the child's imagination and so encourage them to carry on reading. As a new author not seeking fame he has adopted the nickname Grif.
