Autorenporträt
Jeanette Kamciyan is a doctoral-prepared family nurse practitioner with a master's degree in information systems and library science. Her writing experience extends to both fiction and prose; she has co-authored a juried professional article and written several iterations of her final thesis.Jeanette is retired from her nurse practitioner position and now gains significant satisfaction from her leisure time in pursuing self-interests of writing, journaling, perfecting her culinary skills, working out, practicing QiGong, and obtaining teacher certification in the latter. She combines her love of language, healthcare, and teaching by volunteering in various programs such as teaching job skills and first aid to young adults who have recently aged out of the foster care system.Combining her love of travel with these skills, she has volunteered in many international programs around the world teaching English to school-aged children or applying her advanced nursing skills. Her recent trip to Italy revealed a unique trash collection system in a small Sicilian town and inspired the creation of a children's book series.
