Jan Esmann was born in Copenhagen. He holds an MA in modern culture, a BA in rhetoric, a BA in literature, all from the University of Copenhagen, and a BSc from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He is a professional painter (www.janesmann.com). He once had a software company and is a spiritual teacher (www.shaktpat.one). He is a former member of MENSA and of ISPE (International Society of Philosophical Enquiry).
