The study intended to investigate the influence of SHRM in the performance of public sector in Tanzania. Specifically study intended to identify the current situation of HRM function in Tanzania public sector, determine the relationship between SHRM and performance of public sector in Tanzania and examine the factors affecting effective implementation of SHRM in Tanzania public sector. A study used a case study as the research design to study the influence of SHRM practice on performance of public sector in Tanzania. Data were collected through uses of questionnaires, interviews and documentary review. Questionnaires contained both closed and open questions. Interview were conducted on the basis of predetermined interview guide. Thus both qualitative and quantitative methods were collectively employed in the process of collecting data and information required in this study.
