Autorenporträt
Born in Cuba but moved to Puerto Rico at seven years of age, two years after the triumph of Fidel Castro's revolution. Finished high school in San Juan, college in Cornell University, medical school in Meharry Medical College, and pediatric residency in Jackson Memorial Hospital University of Miami. Married Conchi Hernandez after residency. With her had three children and with her has shared his life for 41 years. Practiced pediatric medicine in Miami for 35 years. After retirement , started collecting stories about his family's intersection with the history of Cuba. This book is the result of the assembled accounts.
